Hi, this is Jean... [loud crackling in the background, the sound of sighing] ... and Blitz. We're busy right now and can't answer, so leave a message and we'll get back to you.
Thank you, but I should've known better than to believe him no matter how tired.
[a bit muffled until he lifts his head again.]
Are Bertolt and Sasha okay?
[He's a bit worried about Sasha. She knows more about forests and mountains than any of them, but she hasn't been here as long as the rest of them and her Pokemon aren't as well trained yet.]
Yeah. Bert and I have been teaming up when we go up into the mountain; been gathering lots of scared Pokemon that way. Sasha has been sticking closer to camp.
[Which is probably driving her crazy, since she's a natural in the woods, but she just doesn't have the Pokemon to go too deep.]
[No one would ever dare suggest Blitz could ever be scared of anything. Lies and slander.]
Everything is the same here too. The three legendary birds keep flying overhead, bringing back more and more things. They must have some sort of way until the caves via the air, but none of them is letting us come near enough to find it. So we are left exploring the caves and hoping we find something that connects to where they are.
With enough people looking, you're sure to find it sooner or later. [Jean sighs and tucks his elbow under his head.] We're just constantly scrambling to make sure the entire mountain doesn't burst into flames. If they keep yelling at each other, it's going to.
[Jean is just so unimpressed by legendary Pokemon.]
I wish I could be that confident. Most of these people... they wouldn't be able to last three days back home in training.
[Armin has watched them run down the same passages again and again simply cause they didn't remember to mark them as searched already. And they had a tendency of getting lost. He is a bit amazed nobody has died yet, to be honest. But then, maybe they have and are in an offshoot of a tunnel somewhere completely undetected cause nobody is practising even a shred of common sense here. Armin likes what the legendary seekers stand for in general, but boy, they need someone with a bit more sense and a little less dabbing.
Whatever... dabbing might be. He's still not sure.]
Hopefully the people in Eruteak will be able to find something in the archives to help. But until they do it... it might be best to start taking down the forest yourselves.
No shit, right? It's the same here. The rangers are trying to keep things organized, but...
[Sigh. It's a real shame that Sasha's Pokemon are still fairly low level; if they were higher, she could be running this thing like a shorter, cuter Shadis, and they wouldn't be having the problems they are.]
We've been doing that. Clear a section, then burn it down. But it's really hard to make sure anywhere is entirely clear beforehand, so it's been really, really slow going.
[Another sigh. On to a happier topic?]
Polo's been doing great, though. All the Littens around here love him. I'm pretty sure if I wanted a hoard of them, I wouldn't even have to catch them; they'd just follow him home.
I just hope they are prepared to handle them when they are fully grown.
[Though he supposes they could get them all everstones and make sure they stay in their litten stage.]
I've caught a few pokemon here, but I'm planning to let them all go once this is all over. It's just the only way to-- to-- [A yawn which he only barely manages to hide against his arm] to get them all out of the way. And to Fuchsia if they are injured.
Just give them a mirror to flex in front of, and they'll be fine.
[Jean catches Armin yawning, and dammit, it's contagious. He yawns too, and his eyelids are suddenly heavy.]
Go to sleep. I still have both arms, and we can talk about the Pokemon we've caught later. [Jean glances at the other cot, where Shiro and Fat Ice Dog are still snoozing, and lowers his voice.] If you see a Spheal, maybe catch it for Shiro, okay?
[Yes, he should probably definitely sleep. If he'd put down his head on the pillow, he'd probably drift off immediately for once. Which is why he isn't arguing with Jean telling him to go to sleep. Besides, Jean looks pretty beat too.
And a Spheal for Shiro, huh? Well, it'd probably do him some good.]
Mhmm, all right. I'll see what I can do. Let me know if anything changes on your end, all right?

They're fine. No Gible bites. Yet.

Did anything change between the legendaries?

No. They're still up there, yelling at each other all day and scaring every Pokemon in a five mile radius.
[Crackling from under the bed.]
Every Pokemon except Blitz. He wasn't scared at all.

Date: 2017-08-31 11:43 am (UTC)I'm not sure if we can handle a litter of littens. Magellan and Polo were hard enough to handle and there was only two of them.
[So much mischief. So many burning hairballs.]
