Hi, this is Jean... [loud crackling in the background, the sound of sighing] ... and Blitz. We're busy right now and can't answer, so leave a message and we'll get back to you.
[It's a long overdue conversation, and one she's deemed is safe to have with her boys. If Armin could hear the truth, so could Jean.]
Six eggs? [Angel was inclined to scoff at the idea but, well... If ice cream cones could float and lizards would die if their flame was extinguished then, well, why couldn't eggs turn into palm trees.]
I'm going to let Fisch out now. He roars when he comes out of his ball, so be ready for that.
[Jean keeps the camera trained on the ocean, and a Pokeball flies across the screen, tossed far enough away that Fisch won't squash him when he comes out. A moment and a flash of light later, and there's the sudden appearance of a loud, roaring Gyarados taking up the whole screen.]
[There was... certainly no preparing for a sound like that. One minute, Angel was gazing fondly at the ocean, the next her whole world was rocked by the the roaring, serpent-like beast. Thankfully, the Poke-gear could only go so loud, but it was certainly enough sound to startle the girl and her Pokemon.]
H-He's... [A hand lifted to her mouth.] He's so big! [She had expected something larger than life, but certainly not this big.]
Is there such a thing as a bigger Pokemon? [Maybe a Wailord but even that was hard to fathom. And at least whales were real things, and supposed to be that big. Not a fantastical beast such as Fisch.]
You should be more careful. I imagine Fisch doesn't appreciate that you hurt yourself in order to spend time with him.
[Though she had initially been a little intimidated by the gyarados, it was clear that he was no more of a threat than any other Pokemon. Certainly, he might be a bit more prone to crushing someone in an attempt at getting pets but... at least he wasn't about to eat her dear friend.]
I look forward to meeting him in person. He seems like quite the character. [Fitting for someone like Jean.]
[Honestly, most of Jean's Pokemon follow Blitz's lead on the whole 'hurting their trainer' issue, meaning that Fisch wasn't concerned about Jean's sunburn.]
He is! He's a water type, right? Back when he was a worthless fish, he used to train with Blitz. Blitz would destroy him every time, but Fisch would still try to steal treats from him once in awhile.
[It must have been odd, having such flippant Pokemon. But then, it seemed like, more often than not, Pokemon took on the traits either their trainer displayed, or the ones they needed to see. It only made sense, considering the nurturing and doting ways of most of her Pokemon.]
[Besides, she had no doubts that at the end of the day, Jean's pokemon would defend him vehemently. They just didn't care for something as trivial as a minor burn.]
He sounds quite precocious. Has Blitz tried facing off with him since then?
I promise I will be there soon, Jean. I believe I've said this already but I miss you and Armin dearly. Photographs of my friends can't suffice forever, you know.

I promise I'll be trying.

[Fisch roars in response to that; stop talking about his puberty, it's embarrassing!]

He does! We have a lot of fun out on the water. That's why my legs are red.
[Surfing on a sea monster's head? Amazing.]

Date: 2017-04-04 07:18 am (UTC)A few times. Blitz is still much higher level than Fisch, so he usually wins. But Fisch can give him a run for his money now.
[Someday, Jean will buy a TM with Earthquake, and then Fisch will hold sway over all.]

Will you let me meet him in person one day? Maybe we can go on a ride together?

[Fisch roars in approval. He would like to meet Angel too.]
